I don't get it, every good compact drill also has a hammer function, so why would one need an impact driver in the first place? I never used one in my life. I get all my projects done with a regular compact drill. I think this impact driver thing is just an unnecessary hype which is too loud also.

What is interesting where things are manufactured.

None of my boots were mentioned. The ones you mentioned I'm not sure where to get them. I always used to wear Kodiak. The tried Nats. Nats were crap not even lasting a year. I had a pair of Snap On boots that were great. Lasting years till the soles no longer had tread. I then went to Dakota boots. Good boots. Then and finally Terra. My summer and winter boots are Terra. My winter boots are Terra cross bows. Fantastic boots. I'm a tow truck driver so I'm out in the elements all night. There is nothing worse than cold or wet. Or both cold and wet feet. Through the snow, slush and water. I have three pairs. One pair I managed to cut through the side of the boot. Accident vehicles sometimes have sharp edges. So I bought another pair. I'm going to get the other ones repaired. I bought another pair this winter because of a mix up at my storage place.

Only have Flex 18v where I live so Makita is the choice, would probably pick it anyways since I like their ergonomics and have a few Makita tools. Never tried the Flex 18v so don't know what they are like.

Ebay/PayPal suck too! Late at night, I bought something off of a facebook ad which had an online store, guarantee, free shipping, and accepted PayPal, which I figured was better being 2 steps away from my Credit Card or bank account and PayPal says they protect your purchases, so I did it. I must have been super tired because the next morning it was apparent to me that it was a scam and the claims were BS. I tried to find the ad, store, contact info but couldn't find anything. I contacted PayPal which was super reluctant to do anything right away, saying I had to wait for the items and then contact the seller myself before they would do anything. I received the totally garbage items sent directly directly China, pretty fast. I tested them and they were junk. I could not find a way to contact the seller and the store link only found on the invoice returned "Not Found." PayPal insisted I had to contact the seller first but that was impossible! Paypal said they were able to contact them as if i was an idiot and said they would contact the seller for me. It took a while for a response in which the seller said, "It's not fake, false claim, or scam." I rebubtled giving physics reasons and that the store links were bogus and such. Anyway, PayPal was difficult and was automatically siding with the seller. Paypal eventually said I could accept their resolution of taking $5 off the $36 order, or I could return the items for a refund and no other options. They said the claim had 30 days but by the time PayPal and the seller responded I had maybe 5 days left until the claim would close. The return shipping to China was more than the transaction! How can China ship to me for so little but I can not? I took the $5 off and gave the junk items to a goodwill. I hate Ebay/PayPal and facebook! And china junk!

Milwaukee M18 Forge 12ah is $250.00. Milwaukee is positioning themselves as commercial only, unless you're a wealthy homeowner.

I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. I’m 79 and love NO more having to pull a cord to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021. - I use them on our Southeast LA farm of 18 acres of tall large pine trees that were devastated by a Hurricane and tornado. On 10 acres of the property, nearly all the trees are down or dead. My chainsaws have been working great and cutting huge logs and trees and logs up to 20"+ and it works great. As 0f July 2024 you can still order 80 volt Kobalt Chainsaw through LOWES online. I'm even looking at replacing the 18" with the Oregon 20" bar and chain for my KOBALT 80 volt chainsaw. I also use the 80-volt 10” Pole saw, lawnmower, and Leaf Blower.

The fan sold at HF sure looks a lot like the Riobi one.

Anyone know how much there going to cost

I have the new 18 inch fan and I'm very satisfied it's a beast but this new packout fan has been over due for about 4 years now. I always wonder why can't a light be on the fan incase you're in a dark area. It doesn't hurt to have it. If you don't wanna use it then don't. Or a usb A port to charge your phone

Since I work in the shop I don't use battery powered tools. Ryobi has stopped makin the much lighter corded versions of their tools . Big mistake from my point of view !

So what now ? Are Pouch or Tabless cells in the Forge battery ?

My question is price if batteries, for example, if an 8.o forge battery give the same performance as a 12.o high output battery, what's the price difference?

In Portugal we have power tools like Einhel, Parkside (supermarket tool), Dexter, hitachi, worx, sterwins, metabo. Also we have some power tools talked on video.

There is another brand that i don't think you mentioned. Who owns "EINHELL" ? its a large brand available in Europe and South Africa, Their head office is in Germany. They are sponsors of the F1 Mercedes team. That's all i know.

exchanged 3 different times a Ryobi brad nailer 18 ga model p321 and all 3 did not shoot the nail. The nail would only come out half way out. The batteries are fully charged and still did not shoot the nails

Their website refuses to process orders. I've had several people enter in their Credit Cards and addresses and none of them could successfully complete an order. Their telephone answering services just keeps thanking you for your patience hour after hour after hour. I'm beginning to suspect Ryobi has no interest in fulfilling their legal responsibility to supply parts for their tools and are only interested in selling as many tools through big chain outlets as fast and as long as they can. I'll be filing a complaint to my states Attorney Generals' Office. This is the third time I've needed something like a $10 part to keep tool working and have never been able to reach Ryobi for any help whatsoever. Now I have a $200 dollar 40Volt chainsaw down for a $7.50 part. I have a whole workshop of Ryobi tools but I won't be buying another. I'm going to call the customer service numbers of other manufacturers to see which ones actually honor their promise of parts and service and and begin purchasing their tools as needed instead of Ryobi.

If you use these tools hard, till death do us part, Makita and Milwaukee are the best i have seen. Driving timber lock screws and ripping 2x12s seperates the best from the rest.
